يفتتح اليوم (الثلاثاء 11 مارس/آذار 2008) تحت رعاية الفريق أول سمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، ولي عهد أبوظبي نائب القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة، معرض أبوظبي الدولي الثامن عشر للكتاب، حيث سيتم عرض حوالي 600 ألف كتاب من 400 دار نشر عالمية. ويعد هذا المعرض، الذي سيستمر حتى 16 مارس/ آذار الجاري، منصة هامة للتواصل وتسويق الكتب في قطاعي النشر والإعلام المتناميين باضطراد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

بدأت شركة أبوظبي الوطنية للمعارض "أدنيك" بحفر مرسى بحري "مارينا" بطول 2.4 كم لتعزيز وتسهيل خدمات مرافقها المتطورة. وتتواجد حالياً في موقع العمل في القناة المائية للشركة والواقعة مقابل مركز المعارض، الجرافة الثقيلة "قطوف"، البالغة قوتها 14 ألف حصان والتابعة لشركة الجرافات البحرية الوطنية، حيث ستقوم هذه الجرافة بزيادة عمق القناة إلى 6 أمتار بهدف تسهيل عملية دخول البواخر وذلك من خلال حفر ما يقارب من 1.5 مليون متر مكعب من قاع القناة. وستؤمن عمليات الحفر دخولاً آمناً للبواخر من قناة البطين إلى مرافق المرسى البحري الجديد.

Advanced Diagrid Technology Gives Shape to Capital Gate

An advanced building technique is being used to shape one of the world's most iconic buildings, Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi. The diagrid technology has been used on only a few high-profile international buildings, including the Hearst Tower in New York City, the Swiss Re building ("the Gherkin") in London and the CCTV headquarters tower in Beijing. The system requires less structural steel than a conventional steel frame, reducing costs and benefiting the environment. The diagrid is formed by creating triangular structures with diagonal support beams.

سيصبح برج "كابيتال غيت" مع استخدام تقنية البناء المتطورة "شبكة الإسناد المائل" (diagrid) في عملية تشييده، واحداً من أبرز التحف المعمارية في العالم، حيث ستسهم هذه التقنية في رسم التشكيل النهائي للبرج. وتم استخدام تقنية البناء هذه في عدد قليل من الأبنية العالمية البارزة، بما فيها "هيرست تاور" (Hearst Tower) في مدينة نيويورك ومبنى "ذا غركين" (the Gherkin) الخاص بشركة "سويس ري" (Swiss Re) في لندن وبرج مقر تلفزيون الصين في بكين. وتستلزم هذه التقنية هيكلاً فولاذياً أقل مقارنة بالإطار الفولاذي التقليدي، ما يساهم في تخفيض التكاليف ويعود بالفائدة على البيئة. وتتشكل "شبكة الإسناد المائل" من خلال إنشاء هياكل ثلاثية مزودة بدعامات قطرية.

ADNEC has announced that work is proceeding on schedule for the Phase 2 development of its London exhibition complex - ExCeL London. On completion of Phase 2 in Spring 2010, ExCeL London will be significantly larger than any other exhibition centre in the UK capital and will be one of the largest in Europe with a total exhibition floor space of almost 100,000sqm.

ExCeL London, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company’s (ADNEC) exhibition centre in the UK capital has been named as London’s Business Venue of the Year for the second year running at the Visit London 2009 awards held on Thursday 5^th November. The London venue also won the Best Corporate Event of the Year for its highly successful staging of the G20 London Summit, where leaders of the twenty most powerful nations on Earth came together to discuss the global economic crisis. ExCeL London also won the Silver Award in the sustainable tourism strategy. في خطوة من شأنها أن تعزز من مزايا "كابيتال سنتر" (Capital Centre) كواحد من أهم مشاريع التطوير الاقتصادي في أبوظبي، كشفت شركة أبوظبي الوطنية للمعارض "أدنيك"، المطور الرئيسي لهذا المشروع البالغة تكلفته 8 مليار درهم إماراتي، عن أن مجموعتي "الناصر القابضة" و"المستثمر الوطني" هما من بين عدد من المؤسسات الكبرى التي تقوم بنقل مقارها إلى أبراج تقوم هذه المجموعات حالياً ببنائها ضمن "كابيتال سنتر".

ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company) has announced that its largest indoor event space, known as Hall 12, will now be called ‘Abu Dhabi Hall’ in recognition of its status as the capital’s largest indoor public events venue and in tribute to Abu Dhabi emirate, which is its home.

أعلنت شركة أبوظبي الوطنية للمعارض "أدنيك" أنها بصدد إطلاق موقع الكتروني لحجز التذاكر كما انها ستوفر مكتب لبيع وحجز التذاكر الخاصة بالفعاليات التي يجري تنظيمها في مركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض وذلك من خلال عملية متطورة لحجز التذاكر ستكون في متناول أكثر من 35,000 وكالة سفر في كل من أوروبا وأمريكا الشمالية واستراليا.وذلك في إطار تعزيز مكانة أبوظبي كوجهة عالمية رائدة في مجال السياحة وتنظيم الفعاليات.
