The Company
Under a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, ADNEC was established in August 2005. It replaced the General Exhibitions Corporation ('GEC'), which was formerly established under Law No: 3, issued in 1998.
Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company and its bold initiatives are possible because of the vision of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and His Excellency Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company.
In addition to his role as Chairman of ADNEC, Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan is a Member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Emirate, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and the Abu Dhabi Development & Investment Company. He is also a Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency.
ADNEC is a Government organisation which functions as a private enterprise and operates within the principle core values of efficiency and effectiveness. This is made possible by the vision and leadership of ADNEC's Board of Directors and the unwavering support of the Abu Dhabi Government.
