Summer in Abu Dhabi 2012

The Summer in Abu Dhabi festival, which runs from June 21 to July 19, features a bigger-than-ever summer playground, fun fair rides and games, an amazing ‘Sea Lion ‎Show’ and dozens of family-friendly activations.‎

‎Once again, the ADNEC festival offers something for children and parents of all ages – from huge adventure playgrounds and top-‎tier shows by international performance groups, to grassroots sport and games activities presented by ‎the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

High up on the festival’s list of returning favourites is the ever-popular Show World, which will run seven ‎different character-based performances over the festival’s 29 days. Four fairy-tale ice spectaculars - ‎Peter Pan, Snow White, Cinderella and Beauty And The Beast - top the Show World bill, while the theatre ‎will also stage a 20-minute Louna musical performed in Arabic and English, as well as adaptations of The ‎Jungle Book and Ice Age movies. Performance schedules are available at the festival’s official website: ‎www.summerinabudhabi.ae

Other attractions include a mammoth Ice Age Village featuring characters from - and activities ‎inspired by - the hit movie series, a nerve-jangling ‘Big Bag Drop’, and a jaw-dropping Sea Lion Show ‎where three hilarious aquatic mammals perform a host of side-splitting stunts, such as break-dancing ‎moves, ball-juggling tricks and one flipper hand-stands.‎

The entry fee for Summer in Abu Dhabi at ADNEC is just AED 40 for adults and AED 30 for children ‎under 12 years of age. Tickets can be bought at the door. Guests producing an Etihad boarding pass ‎with validity from May 15 – July 19 get a single entry free.‎
