10 April 2012 – Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) is preparing to host the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi from 12-14 April. Part of the Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition (ADISE), the championship is one of the largest and most prestigious events of its kind and will bring the world’s leading fighters to a specially adapted sporting arena at ADNEC.
Humaid Al Dhaheri, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at ADNEC, explained:

The popularity of Jiu-Jitsu as well as other martial arts have increased considerably over the last ten years in the UAE, and the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship has established itself as one of the biggest events of its kind.

Al Dhaheri expressed his hopes that the Jiu-Jitsu Championship will achieve great success this year, and serve as a platform for athletes to compete with honour as they battle for victory.
